Passageiros da Linha 2 do metrô do Rio de Janeiro enfrentaram transtornos significativos na manhã desta quarta-feira (9), após a queda de parte de um muro sobre os trilhos nas proximidades da Estação Engenho da Rainha, na zona norte da capital. O incidente ocorreu durante uma intervenção da concessionária Águas do Rio em uma tubulação localizada fora do sistema metroviário.

Segundo o MetrôRio, o impacto na operação resultou no fechamento temporário de 11 estações, afetando diretamente o deslocamento de milhares de pessoas no horário de pico. A interrupção obrigou os usuários a recorrerem a alternativas de transporte público, como ônibus e vans.

Para mitigar os efeitos da paralisação, a Secretaria Municipal de Transportes determinou o reforço na operação de linhas de ônibus que circulam pela região.

Em nota, o Metrô Rio informou que, por volta das 11 horas da manhã, a operação na linha 2 foi restabelecida e todas as estações passaram a funcionar normalmente.
