Bombeiros combatem incêndio no Morro das Andorinhas em Niterói

Desde a noite de quarta-feira (11), um incêndio no Morro das Andorinhas, em Itaipu, tem preocupado os moradores da Região Oceânica de Niterói. Bombeiros de dois quartéis estão no local, combatendo as chamas que ainda persistiam na manhã desta quinta-feira (12). A Defesa Civil e a Coordenadoria de Meio Ambiente da Guarda Municipal de Niterói também prestam apoio às equipes.

Segundo a Prefeitura de Niterói, o fogo está concentrado na parte alta do morro e não oferece risco direto às residências, mas a situação gerou apreensão entre os moradores. Além disso, um incêndio em Itaipuaçu, Maricá, também mobilizou os bombeiros, que atuaram para controlar as chamas perto da Rua 6.

“O Morro das Andorinhas está assim, em chamas. Várias casas próximas. Estamos aqui, pedindo socorro”, afirmou uma moradora.

Outros focos de incêndio também foram registrados no Morro dos Macacos e no Parque Estadual da Pedra Branca, no Rio de Janeiro, na mesma quarta-feira.

O Estado do Rio de Janeiro enfrenta um aumento alarmante no número de queimadas, com 760 registros desde janeiro deste ano, o maior índice dos últimos dez anos, conforme dados do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (Inpe). Apenas nos primeiros dias de setembro, foram contabilizados 55 focos de incêndio no estado.
