Em um confronto emocionante no Nilton Santos, o Botafogo derrotou o Palmeiras por 1 a 0 e se isolou na liderança do Campeonato Brasileiro. A partida, digna de líder e vice-líder, teve como destaques os goleiros, que realizaram defesas incríveis ao longo do jogo. O gol da vitória do Botafogo foi marcado por Tiquinho Soares aos 10 minutos da segunda etapa.

O primeiro tempo foi agitado, com ambas as equipes adotando posturas ofensivas e criando várias oportunidades. Ao todo, foram 17 finalizações na etapa inicial, sendo 10 para o Botafogo. Luiz Henrique teve a melhor chance para o Botafogo, enquanto Flaco López levou perigo pelo Palmeiras.

No segundo tempo, o ritmo intenso continuou, com o Botafogo finalizando seis vezes e o Palmeiras oito. Aos 10 minutos, Tiquinho Soares aproveitou uma bola cruzada rasteira na área para marcar o único gol do jogo. O goleiro John, do Botafogo, foi crucial para manter o placar, fazendo várias defesas importantes até o apito final.

Com a vitória, o Botafogo se prepara para enfrentar o Internacional no próximo sábado, às 18h30, novamente no Nilton Santos.
