Corpo é localizado na Baía de Guanabara; identidade ainda será confirmada pelo IML

O Corpo de Bombeiros encontrou, na tarde desta terça-feira (26), um corpo na Baía de Guanabara, nas proximidades do Aeroporto Santos Dumont, no Rio de Janeiro. As equipes realizavam buscas por Matheus Pereira dos Santos, 62 anos, vendedor de coco que desapareceu após o carro em que estava cair na água, na madrugada de quinta-feira (21).
Segundo a corporação, o corpo foi localizado às 12h32 e retirado da baía por volta das 13h40. A identificação oficial será realizada pelo Instituto Médico-Legal (IML), no Centro do Rio. Familiares de Matheus informaram que comparecerão à unidade para auxiliar no processo de reconhecimento. Até a conclusão da perícia, as buscas pelo vendedor permanecem suspensas.
O acidente ocorreu próximo à Praça Mauá, nas imediações do Museu do Amanhã. Matheus estava em um Vectra vermelho no momento da queda. As circunstâncias do caso ainda não foram esclarecidas. As buscas começaram por volta de 1h da manhã de quinta-feira e seguiram de forma contínua até terça-feira.
A operação contou com equipes do Quartel Central dos Bombeiros, mergulhadores do Grupamento de Busca e Salvamento (GBS), do Grupamento Marítimo de Botafogo (1º GMAR) e do CSM (São Cristóvão), além de apoio de uma embarcação.
