Corpos ‘mumificados’ encontrados em hospital do Rio

A Polícia Civil do Rio de Janeiro abriu investigação para apurar irregularidades no tratamento de cadáveres no Hospital Municipal Salgado Filho, no Méier, Zona Norte da capital. Durante diligências realizadas nesta sexta-feira (3), agentes da 23ª DP encontraram quatro corpos mumificados no necrotério da unidade de saúde.

As buscas fazem parte de um inquérito que investiga denúncias relacionadas a pelo menos dez corpos entregues ao Instituto Médico Legal (IML) em avançado estado de decomposição, dificultando a emissão de laudos periciais.

De acordo com a corporação, depoimentos colhidos apontaram que cadáveres estariam sendo deixados por longos períodos dentro do hospital. Em uma das situações, um corpo permanecia na unidade desde dezembro de 2024, em condições que impediram a identificação de gênero.

Os quatro corpos encontrados foram recolhidos e encaminhados ao IML, onde passarão por perícia.

Em nota, a Polícia Civil informou que todos os responsáveis serão convocados para prestar depoimento. As investigações buscam esclarecer possíveis crimes de fraude processual e vilipêndio de cadáver, além de outras condutas que possam ser identificadas no curso da apuração.
