Força-tarefa apreende mais de 100 mil produtos falsificados no Rio

A Secretaria de Estado da Defesa do Consumidor realizou, nesta quinta-feira (08/05), a operação Veritas, com foco em autuar lojas que vendem produtos falsificados. Foram apreendidos mais de 100 mil itens de vestuário, calçados, acessórios e perfumes. A força-tarefa teve a participação do PROCON-RJ, da Subsecretaria de Comando e Controle do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Receita Federal e Polícia Militar. Os agentes interditaram quatro lojas na Taquara, Realengo, Bonsucesso e Bangu.

A fiscalização também contou com a participação de mais de 13 escritórios que representam as principais marcas que são suscetíveis à falsificação. Os empresários auxiliaram na identificação dos produtos com indícios de alteração.

-Estamos investindo nossos esforços em inteligência para combater a pirataria, o contrabando e o descaminho. Além disso, os produtos falsificados colocam em risco a vida, a saúde e a segurança dos consumidores – diz o secretário de Defesa do Consumidor, Gutemberg Fonseca.

De acordo com dados do Fóru Nacional Contra a Pirataria e a Ilegalidade (FNCP), somente em 2024, as falsificações, o contrabando e a pirataria geraram prejuízo de R$ 468 bilhões à economia.
