Líder de facção criminosa do Maranhão é preso em São Gonçalo

A Polícia Civil prendeu, nesta quinta-feira (24), um dos principais líderes de uma organização criminosa com atuação no Maranhão. O suspeito foi localizado no bairro Mutuapira, em São Gonçalo, na Região Metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro. A operação foi conduzida por agentes da Delegacia de Roubos e Furtos (DRF), em parceria com a Polícia Civil do Estado do Maranhão.

Segundo as investigações, o homem ocupava posição de liderança dentro da facção, sendo responsável por tomar decisões estratégicas, aplicar punições internas, cobrar valores ilícitos e manter a arrecadação financeira do grupo. A organização é apontada como responsável por diversos crimes no Maranhão, incluindo roubos de carga, tráfico de drogas, latrocínios e extorsões, com forte atuação na BR-135, em São Luís.

O governador Cláudio Castro destacou a importância da ação conjunta:
“A prisão desse foragido da Justiça mostra a força do trabalho integrado entre as polícias e reafirma o compromisso do nosso governo em garantir a segurança da população. Não vamos permitir que o Rio de Janeiro seja reduto para bandidos de outros estados se esconderem. ” afirmou o governador Cláudio Castro

A captura reforça a cooperação entre os estados no combate ao crime organizado.
