O prefeito de Maricá, Washington Quaquá, se reuniu nesta quarta-feira (4) com o governador do Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro, para tratar do início do processo de construção do Porto de Jaconé (Terminal Ponta Negra – TPN). A expectativa é que as obras tenham início no segundo semestre deste ano.
Durante o encontro, que contou com a presença dos secretários estaduais Fernanda Curdi (Desenvolvimento Econômico, Indústria, Comércio e Serviços) e Cássio Coelho (Energia e Economia do Mar), além do secretário de Governo de Maricá, Arlen Pereira, e do empresário João Acácio, da DTA Engenharia, foram discutidos os detalhes finais do empreendimento.
De acordo com o prefeito, a parceria entre a Prefeitura de Maricá, o Governo do Estado e a iniciativa privada será fundamental para impulsionar o setor de óleo e gás, com potencial para gerar empregos, renda e desenvolvimento econômico regional e nacional.
“O Porto de Jaconé só foi possível graças à intervenção democrática, republicana e proativa do governador Cláudio Castro. São 15 anos de luta, e essa parceria foi fundamental nesse grande implemento econômico para o Rio de Janeiro, para o Brasil e para Maricá”, afirmou Quaquá.
O governador Cláudio Castro destacou que o terminal representa uma nova fronteira econômica para o estado, ressaltando os avanços nos processos de licenciamento. “Conseguimos avançar com todos os licenciamentos nessa grande parceria com a Prefeitura de Maricá. Você aproveita uma bênção natural, que é o petróleo, e transforma em desenvolvimento, empreendimentos e emprego para a população. Não tenho dúvidas de que Maricá está no caminho certo”, afirmou.
A previsão é que as obras do Porto de Jaconé comecem no segundo semestre deste ano, com o início das operações estimado para até o fim de 2028.
