O Ministério Público do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ), por meio do Grupo de Atuação Especializada no Combate ao Crime Organizado (GAECO/MPRJ), e a Polícia Civil, pela 61ª Delegacia de Polícia (Duque de Caxias), cumprem, na manhã desta quarta-feira (17/04), 20 mandados de busca e apreensão e cinco de prisão contra nove integrantes de associação criminosa, denunciados pelos crimes de furto qualificado, receptação qualificada e emissão de notas fiscais falsas. A operação Graham Bell conta ainda com o apoio de agentes da Coordenadoria de Segurança e Inteligência (CSI/MPRJ) e da Coordenadoria de Recursos Especiais (CORE).
Os mandados de prisão, expedidos pela 3ª Vara Criminal da Comarca de Duque de Caxias, estão sendo cumpridos em Duque de Caxias, Vila Valqueire e Bento Ribeiro. Os mandados de busca e apreensão, por sua vez, são cumpridos em Duque de Caxias, Vila Valqueire, Campo Grande, Guadalupe e Bento Ribeiro, além de endereços nos estados do Paraná e São Paulo. A pedido do GAECO/MPRJ, a Justiça determinou o bloqueio/sequestro de valores e bens dos denunciados em montante suficiente para reparação do dano e ao pagamento de prestação pecuniária, multas e custas decorrentes da infração penal.
De acordo com as investigações, os criminosos furtaram aparelhos de telefones novos na caixa, em sua maioria da Apple, relógios, fones de ouvidos e videogames, de uma loja no Centro Empresarial Washington Luiz, em Duque de Caxias. Houve prejuízo estimado de aproximadamente R$ 375 mil à loja. O crime ocorreu em 03 de abril de 2022.
O GAECO/MRJ e a Polícia Civil identificaram os autores do furto, os receptadores (vendedores) e as empresas que emitiram as notas fiscais falsas para dar aparência de legalidade aos produtos. As investigações revelaram ainda que o material foi comercializado em diversos pontos do Rio de Janeiro e com associação de empresas de outros estados.
