Policiais da Operação Segurança Presente prenderam, na madrugada de quinta-feira, um homem que estava furtando fios em Niterói. O suspeito estava puxando os fios subterrâneos por meio de um bueiro quando foi flagrado pelos agentes.
A ação do Segurança Presente foi desencadeada após denúncias de moradores sobre furtos de fiação no bairro de Santa Rosa. De acordo com eles, usuários de crack furtam cabos e queimam para separar o cobre da capa de plástico que protege os fios.
O homem, de 29 anos, tem quatro anotações criminais por roubo, furto, tráfico e homicídio tentado. Ele foi conduzido para a 77ª DP e posteriormente, foi encaminhado para a 76ª DP onde permaneceu preso.
