Niterói: Rodrigo Neves não participa do debate para a prefeitura

O debate entre os candidatos à Prefeitura de Niterói, promovido pelo g1, na tarde desta quinta-feira (29), trouxe à tona questões centrais como educação, saúde, população em situação de rua e internação compulsória. Contudo, o evento também foi marcado pela ausência de Rodrigo Neves, candidato do PDT e representante do partido do atual prefeito, Axel Grael.

Os candidatos Bruno Lessa, do Podemos; Carlos Jordy, do PL; e Taliria Perone, do PSOL, compareceram ao debate e não deixaram de criticar a falta de Rodrigo Neves, apelidando-o de “fujão”.

A ausência de Neves foi comunicada à organização cerca de duas horas antes do início do debate, por meio de sua assessoria, apesar de representantes do candidato terem confirmado sua presença em uma reunião realizada no dia 24 de julho.

Conforme as regras estabelecidas pelo Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), apenas candidatos de partidos, coligações ou federações com cinco ou mais representantes no Congresso Nacional participaram do debate. As normas foram previamente aceitas pelos representantes dos candidatos em reuniões na sede da TV Globo, no Rio de Janeiro.

O debate em Niterói estava originalmente estruturado em cinco blocos de perguntas, sendo três sobre temas determinados e dois de tema livre. No entanto, devido à ausência de Neves, foi acrescentado um sexto bloco, também de tema livre. Ao final do debate, os candidatos tiveram tempo para fazer suas considerações finais.
