PF apreende meia tonelada de cocaína em carga de café no Porto do Rio

A Polícia Federal apreendeu, na tarde desta quinta-feira, aproximadamente meia tonelada de cocaína durante fiscalização de rotina no Porto do Rio de Janeiro. A droga estava escondida em uma carga de exportação de sacas de café, com destino ao mercado internacional.

De acordo com a investigação, os indícios apontam que o entorpecente teria como destino final um porto na Europa, onde seria distribuído por organizações criminosas transnacionais. A operação contou com o apoio da Receita Federal.

A ação foi coordenada pela Delegacia de Repressão a Drogas (DRE/PF/RJ) e utilizou cães farejadores, que auxiliaram na identificação da carga ilícita. O material apreendido foi encaminhado para a Superintendência da Polícia Federal no Rio de Janeiro, onde seguirá para os trâmites legais.

A apreensão integra a Operação Redentor 2, que faz parte da Missão Redentor, iniciativa permanente da PF voltada ao combate e à desarticulação de organizações criminosas com atuação no estado.
