Polícia Civil apreende arsenal com mais de 160 armas e milhares de munições em São Gonçalo

A Polícia Civil do Estado do Rio de Janeiro apreendeu, nesta quarta-feira (08), um arsenal com mais de 160 armas de fogo e milhares de munições durante uma operação em São Gonçalo, na Região Metropolitana do estado.

A ação ocorreu no âmbito de uma fiscalização voltada a estabelecimentos comerciais suspeitos de armazenar e comercializar armamentos de forma irregular. A operação foi coordenada pela Delegacia Especializada em Armas, Munições e Explosivos, com apoio do Exército Brasileiro.

Segundo as investigações, a ofensiva está relacionada a um esquema que envolve a produção de documentos públicos fraudulentos, utilizados para facilitar a posse de armas de fogo e permitir o armazenamento ilegal do material.

Durante a ação, os agentes apreenderam 21 pistolas, 30 rifles automáticos e semiautomáticos, 51 revólveres e 64 espingardas semiautomáticas. Também foram encontradas aproximadamente 7.800 munições de diferentes calibres.

A Polícia Civil informou que as diligências continuam, com o objetivo de reunir provas, aprofundar a apuração do esquema criminoso e identificar todos os envolvidos na fraude documental.
