Polícia Federal prende suspeito da Operação Fake no Rio de Janeiro

A Polícia Federal prendeu um homem investigado por fraude no âmbito da Operação Fake, no Centro do Rio de Janeiro. O suspeito possuía dois mandados de prisão em aberto.

A investigação teve início em outubro de 2023, quando o suspeito, utilizando documentos falsos, obteve um contrato de financiamento fraudulento em uma agência da Caixa Econômica Federal em Nova Friburgo. Após a descoberta da fraude, a Caixa comunicou os fatos à Polícia Federal.

Analisando as imagens de segurança da agência, a PF conseguiu identificar o suspeito, resultando na expedição de um novo mandado de prisão. Na última sexta-feira, enquanto o homem estava em uma agência da Caixa no Centro do Rio, ele foi abordado e detido por policiais, que cumpriram os dois mandados de prisão emitidos pelo Tribunal Regional Federal da 2ª Região.

A captura foi realizada pela Polícia Militar, e o preso foi conduzido à Delegacia de Polícia Civil para os procedimentos de praxe. Em seguida, ele foi encaminhado ao sistema prisional do estado, onde permanecerá à disposição da Justiça.
