Polícia reforça segurança em ônibus ao longo da Avenida Brasil

Policiais militares do Batalhão de Policiamento em Vias Expressas (BPVE) intensificaram, nesta semana, as ações de segurança no transporte público ao longo da Avenida Brasil. Por meio do Policiamento Transportado em Ônibus Urbano (PTOU), os agentes têm realizado abordagens em coletivos para coibir possíveis ações criminosas dentro dos veículos.

A iniciativa busca aumentar a sensação de segurança dos passageiros e combater crimes que, frequentemente, ocorrem no interior dos ônibus, como assaltos e furtos. De acordo com a PM, a presença dos agentes também atua como fator de prevenção, desestimulando práticas ilícitas na região.

A Avenida Brasil, uma das principais vias de acesso ao Rio de Janeiro, concentra grande fluxo de veículos e transporte coletivo, sendo considerada um ponto estratégico para ações de segurança pública. A operação segue sem prazo definido para término.
