Ativo no município desde 2021, o Projeto de Educação Sanitária nas Escolas Rurais (PESER) segue em expansão em Itaboraí. Neste ano, serão contemplados 168 estudantes do 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental de sete unidades escolares. Uma das novidades para esse ano é a implementação do Projeto de Educação Sanitária nas Escolas para Prevenção da Influenza Aviária (PESEPIA) em quatro das unidades atendidas pelo PESER.
A iniciativa tem como objetivo principal levar conhecimento sobre temas relacionados à agricultura para os alunos com idades entre 9 e 11 anos de idade, fazendo com que eles sejam multiplicadores de conteúdo, repassando as informações obtidas para familiares e amigos. O secretário municipal de Agricultura, Abílio Pereira, destacou a importância do programa para os alunos das áreas rurais.
“O PESER é uma iniciativa de fundamental importância em nosso município, pois faz com que os alunos sejam multiplicadores de conhecimento em suas comunidades na prevenção das doenças que põe em risco os animais do campo, bem como os cuidados com a saúde do homem e segurança dos alimentos produzidos. Neste ano, também teremos o PESEPIA em quatro das unidades atendidas pelo PESER, que visa levar o máximo de conhecimento sobre a influenza aviária para esses alunos”, afirmou o secretário.
Cada aluno recebe um kit contendo uma ‘ecobag’ (bolsa reutilizável) e sete livros didáticos com material educativo sobre os temas: febre aftosa, raiva, brucelose, tuberculose, alimentos seguros, teníase e agrotóxicos. O material didático é disponibilizado por meio de uma parceria da Secretaria de Estado de Agricultura, Pecuária, Pesca e Abastecimento (SEAPPA), por meio da Superintendência de Defesa Agropecuária, com a Prefeitura de Itaboraí, por meio das secretarias municipais de Agricultura (SEMAGRI) e Educação (SEMED).
Para a entrega dos kits, professores das unidades selecionadas e representantes das secretarias municipais de Agricultura e de Educação passaram por uma capacitação junto da entrega dos materiais, nesta quarta-feira (03/04), no auditório da Escola Municipal Antônio Santos da Silva, em Venda das Pedras.
Neste ano, as escolas beneficiadas com o PESER são: Escola Municipal João Augusto de Andrade, no Alto do Jacu; Escola Municipal Adilson Rodrigues Soares, Pachecos; Escola Municipal Adilson Rodrigues Soares, Pachecos; Escola Municipalizada José Leandro, em Pachecos; Escola Municipal Alfredo Torres, em Muriqui; Escola Municipal Ayres José da Silva, em Vila Rica; e Escola Municipal Prefeito Símaco Ramos de Almeida, em Porto das Caixas.
Já o PESEPIA será implementado nas seguintes unidades: Escola Municipal João Augusto de Andrade, no Alto do Jacu; Escola Municipal Adilson Rodrigues Soares, Pachecos; Escola Municipal Adilson Rodrigues Soares, Pachecos; e Escola Municipal Alfredo Torres, em Muriqui.
