Receita federal apreende R$ 1 Milhão em eletrônicos no Rio de Janeiro

Em uma operação realizada nesta quarta-feira (19), a Receita Federal apreendeu equipamentos eletrônicos avaliados em R$ 1 milhão em uma transportadora localizada em Cordovil, na Zona Norte do Rio de Janeiro. A ação foi resultado da descoberta de descaminho, prática que envolve a entrada ou saída de mercadorias no país sem o pagamento dos devidos impostos. Entre os itens apreendidos estavam 176 smartphones, 11 smartwatches e 4 notebooks.

A Receita Federal informou que ainda não é possível determinar se os produtos são originais ou falsificados. A apreensão destaca a contínua vigilância da Receita Federal e da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) no combate a práticas ilegais de importação e exportação que prejudicam a economia e a arrecadação de tributos no Brasil. O caso segue sob investigação para determinar a origem dos produtos e possíveis responsáveis pelo descaminho.
