Rio: Denúncia leva à descoberta de asilo clandestino com 16 idosos em situação de risco

Policiais civis da Delegacia de Atendimento à Pessoa da Terceira Idade (Deapti) resgataram, nesta quarta-feira (8), 16 idosos que viviam em condições insalubres em um asilo clandestino localizado na Estrada do Cabuçu, em Campo Grande, Zona Oeste do Rio. A ação fez parte de uma operação conjunta com a Vigilância Sanitária e a Secretaria Municipal de Envelhecimento Saudável.

A fiscalização ocorreu após denúncias sobre más condições e risco à saúde dos moradores do local. Segundo a Polícia Civil, o imóvel foi interditado, e os responsáveis pelo estabelecimento foram indiciados. As investigações continuam e podem apontar novas irregularidades.

Os idosos resgatados serão encaminhados para instituições adequadas. A Deapti informou ainda que familiares ou responsáveis pelas internações também poderão responder por exposição a risco e abandono de pessoa idosa em instituição de longa permanência.

A ação integra a Operação Virtude, iniciativa nacional voltada ao combate à violência contra idosos, que ocorre ao longo do mês de outubro. Além das medidas repressivas, a operação inclui atividades de conscientização e promoção dos direitos da pessoa idosa.
