Rio e Baixada terão interrupção no abastecimento de água na próxima terça-feira, (20)

A Companhia Estadual de Águas e Esgotos do Rio de Janeiro (Cedae) anunciou que realizará uma interrupção temporária na produção de água tratada no Sistema Guandu na próxima terça-feira, 20 de maio. A suspensão ocorrerá das 0h às 20h e tem como objetivo a realização de manutenção preventiva, voltada para modernização e aumento da eficiência operacional.

Durante o período de manutenção, o abastecimento será interrompido em diversas localidades do Rio de Janeiro e da Baixada Fluminense, incluindo Duque de Caxias, Belford Roxo, Nova Iguaçu, Mesquita, Nilópolis, Queimados e São João de Meriti.

A Cedae informou que o restabelecimento do fornecimento de água começará a partir das 20h do mesmo dia, porém de forma gradual. A normalização completa poderá levar até 72 horas, especialmente em áreas mais elevadas ou distantes dos centros de distribuição.

A companhia recomenda que os moradores dessas regiões façam uso consciente da água armazenada durante o período de interrupção, a fim de minimizar os impactos da suspensão temporária.
