Rio: Oito suspeitos morrem em operação da Polícia Militar na Zona Oeste

Uma operação da Polícia Militar realizada nesta quinta-feira (4) na comunidade Vila Aliança, em Bangu, Zona Oeste do Rio, resultou na morte de oito suspeitos. A ação tinha como objetivo localizar integrantes do Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP), apontados como responsáveis pelo assassinato da jovem Sther Barroso dos Santos, ocorrido no mês passado em Senador Camará.
Segundo informações da corporação, seis homens mantiveram um pastor e uma criança reféns em uma residência da comunidade. O imóvel foi cercado e, após troca de tiros, os suspeitos foram mortos. As duas vítimas foram libertadas sem ferimentos. Em outro ponto da comunidade, outros dois suspeitos também morreram em confronto.
Durante a operação, houve registros de intensa troca de tiros. De acordo com a polícia, traficantes incendiaram lixo e utilizaram veículos para erguer barricadas. Em razão dos confrontos, linhas de trem e ônibus chegaram a suspender temporariamente suas atividades, e algumas vias da região foram interditadas.
