Os armamentos foram encontrados em um veículo, na Avenida Lúcio Costa, altura da Praia da Reserva, na Barra da Tijuca
Policiais civis da Delegacia de Repressão a Entorpecentes (DRE) e da Delegacia Especializada em Armas, Munições e Explosivos (Desarme), com apoio da Subsecretaria de Inteligência (Ssinte) e da Inteligência do Exército Brasileiro, recuperaram, na manhã desta quarta-feira (1º/11), mais duas metralhadoras calibre .50 furtadas do Arsenal de Guerra do Exército de Barueri, em São Paulo. Com isso, das 21 armas furtadas, 19 já foram recuperadas.
– A Polícia Civil está de parabéns por essa apreensão. O trabalho de inteligência identificou o trajeto dos armamentos e os agentes conseguiram recuperá-los. Vamos asfixiar financeiramente o crime organizado, sem recuar um milímetro sequer. Essa é a resposta do Estado para as organizações criminosas – declarou o governador Cláudio Castro.
Os armamentos foram encontrados em um veículo, na Avenida Lúcio Costa, altura da Praia da Reserva, na Barra da Tijuca. De acordo com o secretário de Estado de Polícia Civil, delegado Marcus Amim, os deslocamentos das armas realizados pelos criminosos estavam sendo monitorados pela Polícia Civil.
– Informações de inteligência detectaram que o armamento estava em deslocamento. Foram realizadas diversas diligências, inclusive em hotéis da Zona Oeste, para localizar as armas. Com base no trabalho de inteligência das forças de segurança conseguimos interceptar e recuperar os armamentos – explicou o secretário.
As armas foram preservadas da forma em que foram apreendidas, submetidas à perícia, e serão devolvidas ao Exército Brasileiro. O veículo que estava em posse dos criminosos será periciado.
