RJ: Prefeito Eduardo Paes afirma que cumprirá mandato até o fim, caso seja reeleito

O prefeito do Rio de Janeiro e candidato à reeleição, Eduardo Paes (PSD), declarou na manhã desta segunda-feira (5) que, caso vença as eleições, completará seu mandato até o final. Paes foi entrevistado pelo portal de notícias g1.

“Eu me comprometo com o eleitor da minha cidade em ficar até o fim do mandato se for reeleito”, afirmou Eduardo Paes.

Durante a entrevista, Paes classificou como “especulações” as informações de que planeja deixar o cargo de prefeito para se candidatar a governador. Ele afirmou que essas especulações surgem frequentemente devido à falta de opções no campo político estadual.

Paes também ressaltou que sempre foi alvo de questionamentos sobre uma possível candidatura ao governo estadual, e lembrou que já se candidatou ao Governo do Rio de Janeiro duas vezes, porém sem sucesso.
