As fortes rajadas de vento que atingiram Saquarema nesta terça-feira (24) causaram transtornos na Praia de Itaúna, onde está sendo realizado o circuito SWL Brasil de surfe. De acordo com a organização do evento, a ventania derrubou o portão principal de acesso à praia.

Uma atividade promocional que acontecia no momento, com a presença do surfista Gabriel Medina, precisou ser transferida para uma área VIP próxima, como medida de segurança.

Com a intensificação das condições climáticas adversas e o risco de colapso de parte da estrutura montada para o evento, as equipes optaram por evacuar o local preventivamente.

A previsão é que as baterias do circuito SWL Brasil sejam retomadas e concluídas nesta quarta-feira (25), caso as condições do tempo permitam. As autoridades seguem monitorando o cenário climático na região.
