Surfista morre afogado em Itacoatiara

Na tarde de segunda-feira, 20 de maio, um trágico acidente abalou os frequentadores da praia de Itacoatiara, na Região Oceânica de Niterói. Eduardo Oliveira, de 49 anos, morreu afogado durante uma ressaca enquanto surfava com uma prancha de bodyboard.

De acordo com testemunhas que estavam na praia no momento do incidente, Eduardo foi surpreendido pelas fortes ondas e acabou sendo arrastado pelo mar. Os militares do Corpo de Bombeiros foram acionados rapidamente e tentaram reanimar a vítima ainda na areia. Um helicóptero também foi mobilizado para dar apoio no resgate. Apesar dos esforços, Eduardo não resistiu e veio a óbito.

A esposa de Eduardo estava presente na praia e foi amparada por outros banhistas, que prestaram solidariedade em um momento de grande tristeza.
