Torcedor do Botafogo agredido por guarda municipal recebe alta após 13 dias internado

Após 13 dias internado, o torcedor do Botafogo George Soares, de 46 anos, recebeu alta na noite desta segunda-feira (4) e seguirá sua recuperação em casa. Ele foi agredido por um guarda municipal em um bar próximo ao estádio Nilton Santos, logo após o jogo entre Botafogo e Peñarol, pela semifinal da Libertadores. Soares foi levado ao Hospital Salgado Filho com ferimentos na cabeça e, segundo a Rádio Globo, encontra-se em quadro estável.

O incidente aconteceu cerca de meia hora depois da vitória do Botafogo por 5 a 0 sobre o Peñarol. Imagens que circulam nas redes sociais mostram o guarda municipal atingindo Soares com um bastão na cabeça, fazendo-o cair no chão. Outro torcedor também foi agredido pelo mesmo agente, que desferiu um soco.

A Guarda Municipal informou que o agente envolvido nas agressões está afastado de suas funções enquanto o caso é investigado.
