O Tribunal Regional Eleitoral do Rio de Janeiro (TRE-RJ) agendou para sexta-feira, 17, a análise dos pedidos de cassação do mandato do governador Cláudio Castro (PL). Ele é acusado de supostos desvios ocorridos no Centro Estadual de Estatística, Pesquisa e Formação de Servidores Públicos do Rio de Janeiro (Ceperj) e na Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (Uerj) em 2022.
Além do governador, a Procuradoria Eleitoral do Ministério Público Federal (MPF) também solicitou a cassação do vice-governador Thiago Pampolha (MDB), do presidente da Assembleia Legislativa do estado (Alerj), Rodrigo Bacellar (União Brasil), e de outras 11 pessoas.
O desembargador Peterson Barroso Simão, relator do caso, requisitou a inclusão do julgamento na agenda do TRE-RJ nesta terça-feira, 14, conforme relato da Folha de S.Paulo.
Enquanto isso, o governador Cláudio Castro, em viagem aos Estados Unidos para participar de encontros com empresários organizados pelo grupo Lide, só deverá retornar ao país no sábado, 18.
O requerimento de cassação da liderança política do Rio
Os procuradores regionais eleitorais Neide Cardoso e Flávio Paixão, ao pleitearem a cassação da cúpula política do Rio, argumentaram que os acusados cometeram “ilícitos eleitorais de abuso de poder político, econômico e condutas vedadas (…), visando utilizar os recursos públicos à disposição dos investigados para obter vantagens financeiras ilícitas e garantir a reeleição ao Governo do Estado nas Eleições Gerais de 2022”.
“Além de violar as normas de gestão pública brasileiras, o estratagema revelou-se um arranjo meticuloso para cometer práticas de abuso de poder político e econômico, interferindo claramente no processo eleitoral de 2022, que culminou até na eleição dos primeiros investigados”, acrescentaram.
Além de Castro, Pampolha e Bacellar, o MPF também requisitou a cassação de Áureo Ribeiro (deputado federal), Max Lemos (deputado federal), Leonardo Vieira Mendes (deputado estadual), Gutemberg de Paula Fonseca (suplente), Bernardo Rossi (secretário de Ambiente e Sustentabilidade do RJ) e Marcos Venissius da Silva Barbosa (suplente).
Com exceção de Thiago Pampolha, os procuradores solicitaram que os acusados se tornem inelegíveis por 8 anos, a partir das eleições de 2022.
