Flamengo estreia no Mundial de Clubes contra o Espérance da Tunísia

A estreia do Flamengo na Copa do Mundo de Clubes da FIFA 2025 acontece nesta segunda-feira (16), diante do Espérance, da Tunísia. A partida, válida pela primeira rodada do Grupo D, será realizada às 22h (horário de Brasília), nos Estados Unidos, país-sede da inédita edição do torneio com 32 clubes. A transmissão será feita pela TV Globo, sportv, Globoplay e CazéTV.

Campeão da Conmebol Libertadores em 2022, o Flamengo garantiu vaga na competição e chega embalado por uma goleada por 5 a 0 sobre o Fortaleza pelo Campeonato Brasileiro. Já o Espérance participa do torneio graças ao ranking da Confederação Africana de Futebol (CAF) e vive um bom momento, com uma invencibilidade de 11 partidas. A equipe tunisiana será comandada por Maher Kanzari, que faz sua estreia à frente do time justamente neste jogo.

O Rubro-Negro conta com o meia Jorginho como único reforço para a disputa do Mundial. O jogador está à disposição do técnico Filipe Luís e pode começar entre os titulares. O lateral Alex Sandro, preservado de parte dos treinos por desgaste após a Data Fifa, participou normalmente da última atividade antes da estreia, mas ainda é dúvida. O uruguaio De La Cruz, em processo de recuperação de lesão no joelho esquerdo, é o único desfalque confirmado.

Rossi; Wesley, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira e Ayrton Lucas (Alex Sandro); Pulgar, Jorginho e Arrascaeta; Gerson, Luiz Araújo e Bruno Henrique.
