Incêndio em motel em Madureira deixa duas mortes

Um incêndio em um motel localizado em Madureira, na Zona Norte do Rio de Janeiro, resultou na morte de duas pessoas na tarde desta sexta-feira. O Corpo de Bombeiros foi acionado às 17h37 e, ao chegar ao Omaha, situado na Avenida Ministro Edgard Romero, 675, encontrou um homem e uma mulher carbonizados em um dos quartos do estabelecimento.

Os corpos, cujas identidades ainda não foram divulgadas, foram encaminhados ao Instituto Médico Legal Afrânio Peixoto, no Centro do Rio. O incêndio foi controlado por volta das 19h, segundo informações do Corpo de Bombeiros.

A Polícia Militar informou que agentes do 9º BPM (Rocha Miranda) estiveram no local, constataram as mortes e isolaram a área para a perícia da Polícia Civil. A perícia foi realizada ao longo da noite, e o caso foi inicialmente registrado na 29ª DP (Madureira), sendo posteriormente transferido para a Delegacia de Homicídios da Capital (DHC), que investiga as causas do incêndio.

Segundo uma funcionária do motel, o estabelecimento retomou as atividades normalmente neste sábado.
