Rio: Incêndio atinge cobertura de prédio comercial no Centro

Um incêndio atingiu, na manhã desta quarta-feira (18), a cobertura de um prédio comercial localizado no número 42 da Rua do Passeio, no Centro do Rio de Janeiro. O imóvel, de 12 andares, fica ao lado do Teatro Riachuelo.

De acordo com o Corpo de Bombeiros, as chamas começaram por volta das 8h15, na área de refrigeração do edifício, possivelmente em um aparelho de ar-condicionado. Como medida de segurança, todos os funcionários que estavam no local foram evacuados.

Cerca de 30 minutos após o acionamento, às 8h42, os bombeiros controlaram a situação e os trabalhadores foram autorizados a retornar ao prédio. Não houve registro de feridos.

As causas do incêndio ainda serão apuradas.
