Rio: Polícia Militar realiza operação na comunidade Faz Quem Quer após morte de policial

A Polícia Militar deflagrou, nesta segunda-feira (24), uma operação na comunidade Faz Quem Quer, em Rocha Miranda, na Zona Norte do Rio de Janeiro. A ação ocorre dois dias após o assassinato do policial Everton Brasil Pitombeira, de 42 anos, na região.

De acordo com o 9º BPM (Rocha Miranda), o objetivo da operação é reprimir a atuação do crime organizado, impedir a tentativa de expansão territorial de facções criminosas e coibir assaltos a veículos nos acessos à comunidade.

Até a última atualização desta reportagem, não havia registro de prisões, apreensões ou feridos.

Everton Pitombeira foi morto no sábado (22) após entrar na comunidade seguindo um aplicativo de GPS. Segundo testemunhas, ele foi identificado como policial por criminosos locais e baleado. Após ser atingido, perdeu o controle do veículo e colidiu.

O crime aconteceu na Rua Paulo Viana, enquanto Pitombeira se dirigia à casa da filha. O agente era lotado na Diretoria-Geral de Pessoal da PM.
