Suspeito de matar agente da CORE morre em operação na Cidade de Deus

Luiz Felipe Honorato Silva Romão, conhecido como “Mangabinha”, integrante do Comando Vermelho, morreu nesta sexta-feira durante uma operação da Coordenadoria de Recursos Especiais (CORE) na Cidade de Deus, Zona Oeste do Rio. Ele era apontado como suspeito de envolvimento na morte do agente da CORE José Antônio Lourenço Júnior, em maio deste ano, e tinha um mandado de prisão temporária em aberto.

De acordo com a Polícia Civil, Mangabinha atuava como soldado do tráfico entre as áreas conhecidas como Karatê e 13, sendo responsável pela segurança de lideranças da facção e de pontos de venda de drogas. Ele era considerado foragido do sistema penitenciário e utilizava redes sociais sob o perfil “Gustavinho 15733”, onde exibia armas, granadas e rádios comunicadores, além de publicar mensagens de incentivo à violência contra policiais.

A ficha criminal de Mangabinha incluía cinco anotações por associação para o tráfico, porte ilegal de arma de fogo, tráfico de drogas e resistência. Ele também tinha dois mandados de prisão em aberto: um por fuga do sistema prisional e outro relacionado ao homicídio do agente da CORE.

Segundo a polícia, ele teria afirmado, há cerca de seis meses, ter participado de ataques contra equipes da CORE, incluindo a ação que resultou na morte do policial conhecido como Mocotó.

Outros suspeitos de envolvimento na morte de José Antônio Lourenço Júnior também foram mortos em operações anteriores. Em agosto, Gabriel Gomes da Costa, o “Ratomen”, gerente do tráfico na Cidade de Deus, e em outubro, Ygor Freitas de Andrade, o “Matuê”, chefe do tráfico na Gardênia Azul, foram localizados pela polícia. Ambos tiveram denúncias formalizadas pela Delegacia de Homicídios da Capital após investigações que apontaram participação nos ataques ocorridos na Cidade de Deus.
